APPRENTICESHIP

Tomorrow's HR Talent Apprenticeship

Development for aspiring HR talent in Cayman.

Hello and welcome to Tomorrow’s HR Talent – the new apprenticeship for aspiring HR talent in Cayman. On our 24-month program, our apprentice will work towards a professional HR designation, whilst gaining exposure across our recruitment, immigration, and HR consulting teams.

How it works.

  • Who can apply?

Our apprenticeship program is open to Caymanians or those with the legal right to work who have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in HR.

  • Do I need prior experience?

Not necessarily! The purpose of this programme is to introduce you to the world of HR, so we don't expect you to have any prior HR experience.

If you have prior work experience in general (not necessarily within HR), that's great, this will certainly support you in your transition, but it is not a requirement for the programme.

  • Is it a paid apprenticeship?

Yes, this is a paid position. You will be working and learning in tandem during the apprenticeship, as well as being financially backed to pursue a professional HR designation.

  • Is this a full-time position?

Yes, this is a full-time role. You would be working full-time within the recruitment team here at Nova.

  • How long is the programme?

Our apprenticeship programme is 24 months. At the end of the programme, we will support you in the next steps of your career and help you in finding your dream role whether that means staying on with our team or moving to in-house HR with one of our clients.

2020-2022 apprentice

Malique Richards

The apprenticeship programme was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I couldn’t be more happy with my experience. In those two years I learnt so much, I got the opportunity to network and with a whole slew of professionals in the space who I’m still acquainted with today and I came out with 2 certifications in my career of choice. I also got the opportunity to work hands on, on some pretty complex projects which were really engaging and tested just how much I had learnt. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship.

The programme was a transformative two-year HR apprenticeship that propelled me into leadership and unlocked doors in my career that I didn't even know were there. From my first-year promotion, the chance to help found Connect by Nova, now an impactful nonprofit, and more recently, the opportunity to join the CML Legal Recruitment team, the programme really broadened my horizons. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity given to me - a journey defined by meaningful growth, community impact, and endless opportunities.
