Current compliance Positions

What experience is needed?

The experience needed to work in compliance is reflective of the level at which you’re entering the industry, with more specialist knowledge expected as you go up the ladder. Generally speaking, compliance roles in Cayman require a solid understanding of the finance/legal sectors specific to Cayman, an analytical approach to work and keen attention to detail.

A formal compliance qualification, like ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists), is becoming a vital requirement and is typically seen in job descriptions for compliance roles. Many firms would look for this certification or expect you to study for these certifications during your employment. ACAMS offers entry-level training in compliance with their Associate Level, followed by Specialist and Advanced Specialist programs.
