Responsibilities and Duties
In this role, you will:
- Review and process daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, ensuring all payments are correctly posted
- Perform daily cash counts and review reconciliations completed by Accounts Clerks
- Handle customer queries related to payments via phone, email or in person
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve billing issues efficiently
- Prepare and review daily deposits, including cash, cheques and electronic payments
- Generate accounts receivable reports and assist with financial reporting
- Support month-end processes and contribute to departmental administrative tasks
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least four years’ experience in an accounting or finance-related role
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and financial transactions
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident communication skills to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues effectively
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications
