Job Summary

A respected organisation within the tourism, heritage, and visitor attractions sector is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to lead and manage all aspects of the human resources function. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic workforce planning with day-to-day HR operations. You will act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, helping to build a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.

Responsibilities & Duties

As the HR Business Partner, you will:
  • Lead the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide strategic HR guidance on workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and organisational development.
  • Manage the full recruitment and onboarding lifecycle, from job advertising to orientation.
  • Support managers with employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievances, and workplace disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance organisational capability and employee performance.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including appraisals, objective setting, and performance improvement plans.
  • Manage HR administration, including employee records, leave management, benefits administration, and payroll coordination. 
Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this HR Business Partner role, you will have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5–7 years of human resources management experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory, advisory, or business partnering capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies, and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems, ideally BambooHR, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
