Responsibilities and Duties
As a Junior Accountant, your role will include:
- Assisting in the planning and execution of audit assignments across various sectors
- Preparing financial statements and audit documentation in line with regulatory standards
- Supporting senior auditors during fieldwork and client meetings
- Conducting analytical reviews and variance analysis
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Maintaining accurate and organised audit files
- Liaising with clients to gather necessary financial information
- Contributing to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the audit team
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least your Associates (with a Finance focus)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development
- Previous internship or work experience in audit or finance (desirable but not essential)
