About the Opportunity

Job Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading offshore legal services organisation seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal. In this varied role, you will provide high-quality legal and practice support to experienced legal professionals, helping to deliver exceptional client service while gaining exposure to a broad range of legal matters and business operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review and summarise legal documents, correspondence bundles, and due diligence materials.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare clear, well-structured research notes.
  • Assist with drafting legal documents, resolutions, letters, and reports.
  • Check legal documents for accuracy, consistency, formatting, and cross-references.
  • Attend client meetings and calls, taking notes and tracking action items.
  • Support matter administration, including file opening, CDD coordination, and document management.
  • Assist with billing processes, WIP monitoring, and matter tracking.
  • Support business development activities, events, travel coordination, and other practice support projects.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educated to high school or degree level.
  • A paralegal qualification or course would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Previous experience within a legal environment, ideally in a similar role.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using matter management and document management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to meet deadlines.
  • A methodical approach, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn, develop professionally, and build knowledge of Cayman Islands law.
