Job Summary
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Supervisor – Accounts Payable to join their finance department. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset operations. You will supervise a small team, ensure accurate financial processing, and support system upgrades and operational improvements.

Responsibilities and Duties
As Supervisor – Accounts Payable, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supervising the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Reviewing and verifying invoices for proper authorisation and compliance with internal policies.
- Reconciling general ledger expense accounts and initiating adjustments as needed.
- Overseeing accounts receivable functions and maintaining fixed asset records.
- Supporting the implementation and testing of system upgrades and finance-related projects.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring adherence to financial controls and reporting standards.
- Performing other finance-related duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A college degree (preferred) with coursework in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 3 years of experience managing a team.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking or financial customer service (preferred).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to team leadership and problem-solving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
