Job Summary

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Temporary Human Resource Officer to support a dynamic and fast-paced public sector environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to contribute to critical operations on a short-term basis. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and ready to hit the ground running.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Temporary Operational HR Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering end-to-end recruitment services for both temporary and permanent roles.
  • Managing pension benefits and employee enrolments.
  • Maintaining and updating job descriptions and organisational charts.
  • Providing frontline support on employee relations and performance matters.
  • Coordinating employee engagement, recognition, and welfare initiatives.
  • Supporting performance management processes and training coordination.
  • Generating monthly HR reports on key metrics such as turnover and absenteeism.
  • Offering administrative support across HR functions, including payroll coordination and policy implementation.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with 3–5 years of HR experience, or an Associate’s degree with 5–8 years of experience.
  • Proven expertise in recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of public sector HR frameworks and employment legislation.
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as HRIS and MyVista.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently in a high-pressure, confidential environment.
  • Experience in payroll and benefits administration is highly desirable.
