Job Summary
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Payroll Coordinator. This role is pivotal in supporting payroll operations by handling daily administrative tasks, assisting with payroll processing and reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with company policies. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate payroll records, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with People & Culture and Finance teams to uphold payroll best practices across multiple business units.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in the end-to-end payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees across multiple entities.
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts, journal entries, and reports to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate payroll funding and monitor account balances to support timely payments.
- Collaborate with HR and management to ensure payroll aligns with employment laws, benefits, and pension regulations.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, providing prompt support to employees and managers.
- Assist in developing and delivering payroll training for new managers.
- Support payroll audits and compliance reviews.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
- Solid understanding of payroll, finance, and general accounting principles.
- Ability to interpret and apply Cayman Islands Labour, Pension, and Health Law.
- Proficiency in payroll and accounting software.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, with a preference for experience using HRIS/payroll systems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
