We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a professional and organised Receptionist
to join a dynamic legal office on a 3–6-month temporary contract

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting legal staff and ensuring smooth front-office operations.

, and consists of a team of approximately 35 staff, including around 20 lawyers. You will be joining a supportive administrative team that values precision, confidentiality, and public service.
Responsibilities and Duties
As the Receptionist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients and the general public.
- Answering and directing incoming telephone calls.
- Coordinating interviews between witnesses and Crown Counsel.
- Receiving files and evidential material from law enforcement and logging them into the legal registry system.
- Dispatching outgoing files and rulings to law enforcement after proper registration.
- Handling courier packages and managing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assisting in the preparation of memos and summonses, and maintaining correspondence registers.
- Supporting archiving and other administrative tasks as assigned by the Personal Assistant.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in a law firm or legal setting (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Competence in using office software and registry systems.
- A proactive and professional approach to client service.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
