Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trust Officer to join a respected financial services organisation in the Cayman Islands. Recruiting on behalf of a leading fiduciary services provider, we are seeking a professional who can oversee and administer a portfolio of trusts, foundations, companies, and other wealth planning structures while delivering exceptional client service and maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

You will join a knowledgeable and supportive team dedicated to delivering high-quality trust and corporate services to an international client base while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Trust Officer, you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of trusts, foundations, companies, and other fiduciary structures.
  • Coordinate the establishment of new trust mandates and the transition of existing appointments.
  • Maintain trust files, statutory records, banking arrangements, and custody records.
  • Process client transactions, including distributions, payments, and asset transfers.
  • Prepare trustee and corporate governance documentation, including minutes and resolutions.
  • Liaise with clients, legal advisers, banks, auditors, investment managers, and other professional service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with AML, CRS, FATCA, economic substance, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor statutory deadlines, support audits, and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years' experience within the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of trust administration, corporate administration, and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • An internationally recognised professional qualification such as STEP, ACCA, CPA, or CA would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of AML, CRS, FATCA, economic substance, and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a professional client-focused approach.
  • Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
